Automotive Technician – Full-time

About the role

Auto Shoppe Ranfurly, a family‑owned Toyota Parts and Service Centre and Husqvarna dealer, is looking for a qualified or near‑qualified Automotive Technician to join its busy, friendly team in Ranfurly, Central Otago. The role involves vehicle servicing, diagnostics and repairs in a modern workshop environment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine servicing, diagnostics and mechanical repairs on a variety of vehicles.
• Use dealership‑level tools and information to identify and resolve faults.
• Communicate clearly with customers about work performed and recommendations.
• Collaborate with team members to meet service targets and maintain a safe, clean workshop.

Required profile

• Automotive Trade Qualification (NZQA Level 4) or close to completion.
• Strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality.
• Reliable, punctual and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Valid New Zealand driver’s licence and right to work in New Zealand.

Required skills

• Vehicle servicing and repair.
