Automotive Technician – Full Time

About the role

King Toyota is seeking a full‑time Automotive Technician to join its service team in Upper Hutt. The successful candidate will work on a variety of Toyota and other makes, ensuring vehicles are safe, reliable and ready for customers.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine servicing and maintenance of vehicle systems.
• Carry out mechanical repairs and component replacements.
• Test‑drive vehicles to identify and diagnose faults.
• Collaborate with service advisors to communicate findings and recommended work.

Required profile

• Strong focus on accuracy and quality.
• Hard‑working attitude and willingness to take on challenges.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Valid New Zealand driver’s licence.
• Current WOF certification or willingness to obtain it.
• NZQA Level 4 automotive qualification and at least one year of relevant experience.
