Auditor – Horticulture (Mount Maunganui)

About the role

AsureQuality is looking for a dedicated Auditor to join its Mount Maunganui team. You will work full‑time, Monday to Friday, conducting independent audits that support New Zealand’s horticulture sector and ensure compliance with industry standards.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain approved auditor status for designated programmes.
• Plan and execute audits across the North and South Islands in line with regulatory and AsureQuality procedures.
• Review processes, systems and records to verify operator conformity.
• Prepare accurate audit reports and manage non‑conformances.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, regulators and internal teams.
• Participate in internal audits, special projects and continuous‑improvement initiatives.
• Promote and uphold workplace health and safety standards.

Required profile

• Experience in the kiwifruit or avocado industries, or prior auditing experience in these sectors.
• Strong analytical ability and meticulous attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills.
• Commitment to continuous improvement and safety.
