ATS Training Manager

About the role

Airways International Ltd is seeking an experienced aviation training leader to serve as ATS Training Manager. Reporting to the Head of ATS Training, you will oversee the delivery, quality, and continuous improvement of air traffic services training for both internal teams and international customers.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic oversight of training delivery, standards, curriculum development, and instructor capability.
• Lead a team of ATC Instructors and ATS Training Specialists, fostering a high‑performing culture.
• Ensure training outcomes align with ICAO, CAA, Airways, and NZQA requirements.
• Collaborate with operational units, workforce planning, and key stakeholders to support trainee success and long‑term capability development.
• Drive innovation in training delivery, including simulation‑based learning and modern training practices.

Required profile

• Extensive experience as an ATS Instructor with strong operational knowledge of air traffic control procedures and safety standards.
• Proven leadership skills, capable of coaching instructors and building strong cross‑functional relationships.
• Commitment to safety, operational excellence, and the values of Airways.
• Experience working with regulatory frameworks such as ICAO, CAA, or NZQA is highly desired.
