Associate Director, Quality Assurance

About the role

The Associate Director, Quality Assurance will lead end‑to‑end quality and compliance for a critical animal health manufacturing site. As a key member of the site leadership team, you will shape strategy, drive continuous improvement, and ensure the highest standards of safety, efficacy, and regulatory excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Lead quality operations and assume overall responsibility for product quality and compliance at the Upper Hutt site.
• Implement and maintain policies, systems, processes, and practices that meet standards for quality, efficacy, safety, potency, and purity.
• Provide management support to all staff within the Quality Functions.
• Partner with Global Supply Chain to achieve scorecard objectives related to people, safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
• Support commercial functions and align with local animal health business objectives.
• Serve as primary contact with government regulatory agencies during market actions, recalls, and inspections.
• Prepare the site for regulatory inspections, host inspections, and coordinate responses.
• Manage the site Quality budget and report to the APAC Regional Quality Lead.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience in quality assurance within a regulated manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated ability to lead high‑performing quality teams and collaborate with global stakeholders.
• Experience managing regulatory interactions, inspections, and product recalls.
• Strong strategic thinking and ability to contribute to site‑wide decision making.
