Assistant Store Manager – Auckland

About the role

Arc'teryx is opening its first New Zealand store in Auckland and seeks an Assistant Store Manager to help launch this flagship location. Working closely with the Store Manager, you will lead a team, deliver an exceptional guest experience, and ensure daily operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Support and inspire the team to achieve sales targets and deliver outstanding guest service.
• Drive a culture of accountability, development, and high performance.
• Champion visual merchandising, product education, and sell‑through strategies.
• Step in across the store—from stockroom to sales floor—to lead by example.
• Build community connections and bring the Arc'teryx brand to life in Auckland.
• Partner with the Store Manager on recruitment, onboarding, coaching, and team development.
• Support operational excellence, including labour planning, inventory management, and store standards.

Required profile

• 2‑3 years of leadership experience in a retail environment.
• Growth mindset and entrepreneurial spirit.
• Passion for the outdoors and performance gear.
• Strong communication skills and collaborative leadership style.
• Commercial mindset with strategic thinking and decisive action.
• Genuine enthusiasm for developing people, serving guests, and building community.
