Assistant Manager – Business Advisory

Grant Thornton is looking for an experienced professional to step into an Assistant Manager position within its Business Advisory Services (BAS) team in Christchurch. Key responsibilities

• Deliver high‑quality accounting and advisory services to a diverse portfolio of clients.
• Own client relationships and act as a trusted advisor on business performance, strategy, and improvement initiatives.
• Mentor and support junior team members as the BAS practice continues to grow.
• Contribute to workflow management, review processes, and overall team development.
• Participate in broader advisory projects that help clients achieve sustainable growth.

Required profile

• Solid experience within Business Advisory Services or a comparable Chartered Accountant environment.
• CA/CPA qualification (or near completion) with strong practical application.
• Proven ability to partner with clients on performance, strategy, and improvement.
• Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and capacity to manage competing priorities.
• Proactive mindset with a genuine interest in developing both clients and colleagues.
