About the role
Springer Nature is seeking an Assistant/Associate Editor to provide editorial control for Adis journal articles. Working in a hybrid model from Auckland, the role supports the commissioning and management of therapeutic and specialist area portfolios.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee editorial quality of externally authored reviews and original research articles.
- Identify and engage suitable peer reviewers for submissions.
- Make acceptance or rejection decisions based on reviewer feedback and technical assessment.
- Ensure manuscripts are technically accurate, well‑structured, and written in clear English.
- Assess author amendments and perform final technical checks on page proofs.
- Contribute to content generation by identifying ideas and potential authors for invited reviews.
- Assist in commissioning Adis Drug Evaluations and Profiles.
Required profile
- Life‑science degree, preferably in pharmacy or pharmacology.
- PhD or postgraduate qualification with relevant clinical expertise.
- Experience in scientific publishing or editorial work is desirable.
