Asset Intelligence Consultant

About the role

Join WSP’s Asset Management team in Napier to help organisations make smarter infrastructure decisions through data, technology and asset information. You will work across a variety of infrastructure projects, applying expertise in asset information management, spatial analysis and digital tools to deliver actionable insights.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver asset data and information management services, providing technical advice and support to internal and external clients.
• Apply data and spatial analysis techniques to support infrastructure planning, asset management and project delivery.
• Develop and enhance digital tools, dashboards, reporting solutions and spatially enabled asset systems.
• Support the operation and improvement of asset information systems, including RAMM, GIS and related databases.
• Assist with project planning, scope development, fee estimates and delivery plans, managing tasks and reporting to meet time and budget targets.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and clients to deliver data‑driven solutions and contribute to proposals, tenders and business development activities.

Required profile

• Relevant tertiary qualification in Data Science, Geospatial Technologies, Engineering, Information Management or a related discipline.
• 3–5 years of professional experience in asset information management, geospatial analysis, data management or infrastructure asset management.
• Experience working with asset management, GIS or information management systems and databases.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with a proven track record of turning data into meaningful insights.
• Experience developing dashboards, reporting tools or digital solutions is advantageous.
