Assay Laboratory Co-ordinator

About the role

We are seeking an Assay Laboratory Co‑ordinator to join our Penrose facility in Auckland. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting fire assay tests and providing essential support to our refining operations, ensuring high‑quality analytical results.

Key responsibilities

• Perform fire assay testing on mineral and metal samples according to standard procedures.
• Support refining activities by preparing samples, monitoring processes, and documenting outcomes.
• Maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment and instruments.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations within the lab.
• Record, analyse, and report assay data accurately to internal stakeholders.

Required profile

• Relevant qualification in chemistry, metallurgy, or a related scientific discipline.
• Experience working in an assay or analytical laboratory environment.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise protocols.
• Capability to work on‑site in a fast‑paced, safety‑focused setting.
