About the role

As an Area Sales Manager for the Traditional Liquor channel, you will be responsible for growing Asahi Beverages’ presence across a well‑established territory in central Auckland. This field‑based role requires you to build long‑term partnerships with independent liquor retailers and key chains, driving volume, distribution and brand execution for some of New Zealand’s most recognised beverage brands.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage a large portfolio of traditional liquor customers across the central Auckland territory.
  • Build strong relationships with independent business owners and key decision‑makers.
  • Drive distribution, volume growth and execution of Asahi’s leading brands.
  • Negotiate range, pricing, promotions, displays and in‑store activation opportunities.
  • Identify new business opportunities and proactively increase market share.
  • Execute customer, trade and promotional strategies to achieve commercial outcomes.
  • Maintain structured territory planning and call cycles using Salesforce CRM.
  • Analyse customer performance and recommend improvements.
  • Collaborate with internal sales, marketing and commercial teams.
  • Represent Asahi Beverages with exceptional customer service.

Required profile

  • Strong commercial acumen and relationship‑building skills.
  • Proactive, self‑motivated and able to work autonomously in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
  • Experience in FMCG, beverage or liquor sales, territory or account management.

Required skills

  • Experience using Salesforce CRM.
