Area Manager, Mobile Lending – South Auckland

About the role

This permanent, full‑time position is based in South Auckland and leads Westpac’s Mobile Lending proposition in the region. Reporting to the National Manager Mobile Lending, you will shape how the team meets customers where and when it suits them, driving growth in home and small‑business lending.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coach a geographically dispersed team of Mobile Lending Managers to deliver exceptional, advice‑led customer outcomes.
• Drive acquisition growth for home lending and small‑business portfolios through local strategies, partnerships and community networks.
• Collaborate with Branch, Business Banking and community organisations to build a sustainable pipeline of opportunities.
• Champion the Mobile Lending proposition, ensuring it meets customer needs across all channels.
• Embed strong risk, compliance and conduct practices within the team.
• Identify new market opportunities and align regional expansion with national strategy.
• Support capability uplift, engagement and succession planning.

Required profile

• Proven leadership experience, ideally managing geographically dispersed teams.
• Strong background in home lending with solid understanding of credit, risk and customer needs.
• Demonstrated ability to grow business through networks, partnerships and community presence.
• Exceptional coaching capability with a track record of improving performance.
• Commercial acumen to translate strategy into results.
