Architectural Designer

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Architectural Designer to join a well‑established Christchurch practice known for innovative design and high‑quality project delivery. You will work across commercial and multi‑residential projects from concept through to completion.

Key responsibilities

• Develop design concepts and produce detailed documentation for commercial and multi‑residential projects.
• Ensure all designs comply with New Zealand building regulations and codes.
• Assist in selecting appropriate materials and construction components.
• Conduct site observations to verify design intent.
• Collaborate closely with architects, engineers, and contractors to refine solutions.

Required profile

• Minimum 7 years of architectural experience in New Zealand.
• Proven experience in commercial and multi‑residential projects.
• Strong knowledge of NZ building codes and standards.
• Competent and efficient use of ArchiCAD.
• Robust documentation skills.
• Suitable for an Architectural Designer or Architect (registered or not).
