Architect – Project Architect (Christchurch)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Project Architect or Architectural Designer to join our Christchurch‑based studio. The role is design‑led yet requires a strong all‑round capability, allowing you to work across every stage of a project from concept through to construction documentation.

Key responsibilities

• Develop design concepts and detailed documentation for commercial and large‑scale residential projects.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants and contractors to ensure design intent is maintained.
• Manage project delivery from early concept through to construction completion.
• Take ownership of assigned projects and mentor junior team members.

Required profile

• 6+ years of experience in commercial and large‑scale residential architecture.
• Strong understanding of the New Zealand Building Code and relevant standards.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Proactive, adaptable and collaborative working style.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Revit (essential).
• Experience with Adobe Suite.
• Familiarity with Enscape or similar visualisation tools.
