AppSec Engineer – AI Trainer

About the role

Join DataAnnotation’s team to help shape the next generation of AI‑driven security tools. You will work remotely, set your own schedule, and apply your real‑world cybersecurity expertise to evaluate and improve AI‑generated security content.

Key responsibilities

• Assess AI‑generated threat analyses, vulnerability assessments, and offensive security techniques for real‑world accuracy.
• Design and solve security‑focused technical problems that are used to train AI models.
• Write clear technical explanations and security‑relevant code snippets.
• Provide feedback that directly influences how AI systems reason about threats and defenses.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of hands‑on experience in a cybersecurity role (e.g., penetration testing, red teaming, incident response, detection engineering, DFIR, malware analysis, threat intelligence, or government/military cyber operations).
• Proficiency in coding and the ability to navigate and patch a codebase.
• Fluent English with strong written communication skills.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred; relevant certifications (OSCP, CRTO, GREM, GCFA, CEH, etc.) are a plus.
