Application Security Consultant – Code Security

About the role

ASB is looking for an Application Security Consultant focused on code security to join its Security Practice. The role will work closely with engineering teams across the bank to embed secure coding practices and raise security awareness throughout the software development lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Review and assess code vulnerability findings, validate security risks and challenge false positives.
• Support engineers and developers in remediating security vulnerabilities and applying secure coding guidance.
• Lead application security assessments, including code reviews and security reviews.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Quality Assurance and Security teams to integrate secure development practices.
• Drive security awareness, training and capability uplift across engineering communities.
• Contribute to the Security Champions programme and help build secure coding capability.
• Identify opportunities to improve application security processes, tooling and practices.

Required profile

• Strong technical foundation with experience in software engineering, security engineering, penetration testing or application security.
• Passion for helping development teams build secure software.
• Ability to work directly with engineers to solve security challenges.
