Air Niugini Station Manager

About the role

The Walshe Group is seeking a Station Manager for Air Niugini at Auckland Airport. This permanent part-time position (28 hours per week) offers a senior operational aviation role supporting the growth of Air Niugini’s international services.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily station operations, ensuring safety, compliance and service quality.
• Coordinate with airline, airport authorities and ground handling partners.
• Manage staff scheduling, training and performance in a part-time framework.
• Monitor and report operational metrics, identifying opportunities for improvement.
• Support the development and implementation of international route initiatives.

Required profile

• Proven experience in aviation operations or airport management.
• Strong leadership capability with a customer-focused mindset.
• Ability to work effectively in a part-time, on-site environment.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Required skills

• Knowledge of aviation safety regulations and airport procedures.
• Experience with operational planning and performance monitoring.
