AI Data Trainer – Environmental Engineering

About the role

Join Alignerr as an AI Data Trainer focused on environmental engineering. You will work remotely to challenge advanced language models with real‑world engineering problems, helping to make AI outputs more accurate, safe, and technically sound.

Key responsibilities

• Design complex, domain‑specific scenarios covering contaminant transport, wastewater treatment, hydrology, air‑quality modeling, and life‑cycle assessments.
• Author rigorous, step‑by‑step ground‑truth solutions that serve as benchmarks for AI outputs.
• Audit AI‑generated remediation plans, impact statements, and calculations for technical accuracy and regulatory compliance.
• Identify logical flaws in model reasoning and provide structured feedback to improve performance.
• Manage your own schedule and deliver high‑quality work independently.

Required profile

• Pursuing or holding a Master’s or PhD in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering (environmental focus) or a closely related field.
• Strong knowledge in at least one core area such as aquatic chemistry, wastewater process design, air‑quality engineering, or hazardous‑waste remediation.
• Excellent written communication of complex technical concepts.
• Detail‑oriented with precision in unit conversions, chemical equations, and regulatory logic.
• No prior AI experience required; training will be provided.
