Agriculture Tutor

About the role

New Zealand Management Academies is seeking a passionate Agriculture Tutor to deliver the Level 3 Agriculture programme with a focus on dairy farming. You will guide learners through both theoretical and hands‑on components, creating a safe and engaging environment that motivates diverse students to succeed and progress toward further study or employment.

Key responsibilities

• Teach and assess learners in the Level 3 Agriculture programme, emphasizing dairy farming practices.
• Create and deliver weekly training plans while ensuring students meet entry criteria.
• Maintain up‑to‑date training records, assessments, and progress reports.
• Integrate literacy and numeracy unit standards into the curriculum.
• Mentor learners toward successful qualification completion and support work placements.
• Coordinate with industry stakeholders to keep the programme relevant and employable.
• Ensure compliance with NZQA and internal quality standards.
• Travel to local farms for practical teaching sessions.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years experience working in dairy farming.
• Experience working with youth or adult learners in alternative education or youth development.
• Strong communication skills and ability to motivate diverse learners.
• Commitment to creating a safe, engaging, and fun learning environment.
