Afterhours Coordinator (Part-Time)

About the role

Geneva Healthcare, part of New Zealand Health Group, offers two part-time permanent Afterhours Coordinator positions in its CBD office in Tāmaki Makaurau, Auckland. You will handle high volumes of phone-based enquiries from clients and support workers, and be available across the end-of-year holiday period and public holidays. The advertised shifts are:

• Option One: Monday and Friday 4pm–9:30pm, Saturday 1pm–9:30pm
• Option Two: Tuesday and Friday 4pm–9:30pm, Saturday 7:30am–4pm

A 2-week training schedule (Monday to Friday 8:30am–5:30pm) is preferred but not essential; alternative arrangements can be made.

Key responsibilities

• Answer high volumes of phone-based client and support worker enquiries
• Deal with complaints and incidents
• Fill shifts for external clients, funders and competitors
• Write reports to management
• Load homecare referrals and extensions
• Give detailed handovers when starting or finishing shifts

Required profile

• NZ citizen/resident or holder of a valid NZ work visa
• Preferred: experience in a call centre environment
• Ability to handle high-volume calls and multi-task under pressure
• Excellent communication skills and professional phone manner
• Proven customer service skills and resilience
• Commitment to the 2-week training is preferred but not essential
• Not suitable for candidates already working full-time and intending to hold both positions
