Admiral Nurse – Part‑time Specialist Dementia Support

About the role

The Admiral Nurse provides specialist dementia care and support to families and carers across Bristol and South Gloucestershire. Working part‑time (3 days a week), you will combine face‑to‑face visits with remote consultations to help people navigate the emotional and practical challenges of dementia.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver specialist dementia assessments and support, including home visits.
• Develop personalised, evidence‑based intervention plans for carers and people living with dementia.
• Promote relationship‑centred care and support carers’ wellbeing.
• Collaborate with health and social care professionals to ensure coordinated support.
• Contribute to service development and best‑practice improvement.
• Provide dementia‑focused training to colleagues, carers and partner organisations.

Required profile

• Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) or Registered General Nurse (RGN).
• Full clean UK driving licence.
• Minimum 2 years post‑registration experience supporting people affected by dementia.
• Experience in community or outreach settings.
• Strong understanding of person‑centred and relationship‑centred dementia care.
