Accounting Professional Intern

About the role

Join Trimble’s finance team in Christchurch for a 12‑week paid internship focused on financial reporting, audit support, and tax compliance for New Zealand and Australian entities. You will work on real‑world deliverables, receive mentorship, and gain exposure to global finance processes.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare working papers and analyse financial information.
• Compile financial statements for New Zealand and Australian companies.
• Assist with audit field work, respond to audit requests and interpret data.
• Prepare tax working papers supporting the tax position of NZ and Australian entities.
• Support year‑end close activities, including journal entries and balance‑sheet reconciliations.
• Identify and implement process improvements.

Required profile

• Currently completing a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field at a New Zealand university.
• Legally authorised to work in New Zealand without sponsorship.
• Strong analytical mindset, attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
• Proactive, collaborative communication style and a drive for continuous learning.
