Accountant – Monthly Close & Financial Reporting

About the role

We are looking for an Accountant to join our finance team and support the monthly close, financial reporting and internal control processes. The role will work with the ERP system to ensure accurate journal entries and compliance with SOX and ISO 9001 standards.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the monthly close of the ERP system, preparing recurring and non‑recurring journal entry adjustments.
• Retrieve account transactions, prepare adjustments and format financial data for income statements and balance sheets.
• Prepare SOX‑related reports and calculations to support internal controls under Section 404.
• Reconcile assigned balance‑sheet accounts and make routine and non‑routine adjustments.
• Generate analytical spreadsheets and miscellaneous reports for various departments and senior leadership.
• Provide support for internal and external audit requests and respond to statutory compliance filings, including state sales/use tax returns.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• Experience in public accounting or industry accounting preferred.
• Understanding of ISO 9001 quality system and SOX compliance.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ERP systems.
• Intermediate skill with electronic spreadsheets.
