Accountant

About the role

Comvita is seeking an Accountant to join its Finance team at the Paengaroa Market Support Office. The role ensures the financial integrity of the business by delivering accurate, timely, and compliant financial information.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate and compliant financial records in line with accounting standards and company policies.
• Prepare journals and complete balance‑sheet reconciliations.
• Support month‑end and year‑end close processes.
• Assist with statutory and regulatory compliance, including preparation of group financial statements.
• Account for share capital transactions and equity reconciliations.

Required profile

• Tertiary degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field.
• Qualified CA or CPA.
• 5+ years of experience in accounting/finance, preferably within FMCG, consumer goods or health products.
• Experience in an NZX‑listed company and audit experience are advantageous.
• Understanding of NZIFRS accounting standards.
