Accountant – Hands‑on Financial Operations Role

About the role

We are seeking a hands‑on Accountant to support the financial operations of a proud, locally‑owned forestry and steep‑slope solutions business. You will work closely with senior leaders, providing meaningful insights that drive business decisions.

Key responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate general ledger entries and reconcile accounts.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements.
  • Analyse financial data to identify trends and support strategic planning.
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting and cash‑flow management.
  • Ensure compliance with local accounting standards and tax regulations.

Required profile

  • Relevant accounting qualification (e.g., CPA, CA) or equivalent experience.
  • Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate financial information clearly to non‑financial stakeholders.
  • Proactive attitude and willingness to take ownership of tasks.
