About the role
United Civil Construction is seeking a motivated Accountant to join its team in Whangarei Central. You will play a key part in supporting the financial health of one of Northland's leading civil contractors, working on a variety of accounting tasks in a dynamic, on‑site environment.
Key responsibilities
- Execute month‑end close activities and prepare accurate financial reports.
- Process payroll for staff and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
- Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable functions.
- Conduct financial analysis to support business decisions.
Required profile
- Proven experience in general accounting, including month‑end, payroll, AR/AP and analysis.
- Ability to work on‑site full‑time in a construction setting.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
