Accountant – 6‑Month Fixed‑Term (Full‑Time)

About the role

We are looking for a qualified Chartered Accountant to join Kami’s finance team in Auckland on a six‑month fixed‑term contract. The role is full‑time and will support month‑end, year‑end and a range of finance initiatives in a fast‑growing, global digital‑education company.

Key responsibilities

• Execute month‑end and year‑end close processes and produce accurate financial reports.
• Prepare management accounts, financial statements and balance‑sheet reconciliations.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS, NZ IFRS and relevant statutory reporting requirements.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, tax compliance (GST, corporate tax) and external audit coordination.
• Support Sage ERP finance projects, system implementations and ad‑hoc finance initiatives.
• Provide day‑to‑day support for accounts receivable and accounts payable functions.

Required profile

• Chartered Accountant (CA ANZ or equivalent) with at least one year post‑qualification experience.
• Strong technical knowledge of IFRS; familiarity with NZ IFRS or US GAAP is a plus.
• Proven ability to work independently, manage competing priorities and meet tight deadlines.
• Experience in a global, fast‑growing organisation is desirable.
