Account Manager – Sustainable Packaging

About the role

The Account Manager is a senior position within our sales team, responsible for managing a portfolio of FMCG to industrial customers and driving new volume, concepts and market opportunities for our sustainable packaging solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Achieve gross sales and contribution targets through strategic planning and execution.
• Implement and maintain a Key Account Strategy for the top 10 accounts, building strong relationships and tailored plans.
• Provide accurate weekly revenue and margin forecasts, keeping variance within 5%.
• Conduct quarterly business reviews for top accounts and produce monthly performance reports.
• Lead contract negotiations, statements of work and ensure compliance with optimal terms.
• Manage pricing strategies, monitor price indices and address variances.
• Oversee customer satisfaction surveys and maintain high service levels.
• Identify and convert new customers and markets, and support product development initiatives.
• Prepare and submit competitive tenders and RFP responses.
• Contribute to the overall sales strategy, annual budgeting and account planning.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of sales experience, preferably managing large corporate FMCG accounts.
• Strong financial acumen – pricing, variable costs, gross margins and capital return calculations.
• Industry knowledge in packaging, FMCG, manufacturing or technical environments (BOMs, cost drivers).
• Proven track record in new‑business development and successful conversions.
• Excellent relationship‑building, communication and commercial judgement.
• Advanced Excel and data‑analysis capabilities.
