Account Manager – Footwear Brands (Skechers & Dr Martens)

About the role

We are seeking a driven Account Manager to represent two iconic footwear brands – Skechers and Dr. Martens – across the North Island. Based in Auckland, you will work field‑based, visiting wholesale partners, presenting seasonal ranges and building strong commercial relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Present and sell upcoming seasonal collections, delivering brand stories and commercial objectives to wholesale accounts.
• Develop and maintain relationships with buyers and key stakeholders throughout your territory.
• Manage the order book, identify stock‑selling opportunities and drive sales performance.
• Monitor account sell‑through, report results and pinpoint growth opportunities.
• Communicate regularly with accounts via showroom appointments, in‑store visits, calls and video meetings.
• Collaborate with internal Sales, Finance, Marketing, Operations and Customer Experience teams to ensure a seamless customer journey.
• Support commercial negotiations and contribute to wholesale business targets.
• Stay informed on market trends, consumer behaviour and the competitive footwear landscape.

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience in sales, wholesale or account management.
• Strong understanding of retail, footwear or apparel environments.
• Excellent communication, relationship‑building and presentation abilities.
• Commercially minded with solid business acumen.
• Proactive, results‑driven and able to identify growth opportunities.
• Valid NZ driver’s licence and willingness to travel regularly across the North Island.
