Key responsibilities

• Deliver high‑quality teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
• Coordinate courses and develop innovative curriculum and learning materials.
• Supervise Honours, Masters, and PhD students.
• Establish and grow a strong research programme with high‑quality publications and external funding.
• Collaborate with colleagues locally and internationally.
• Contribute to service and leadership within the Department and Faculty.
• Support a diverse, inclusive, and equitable learning environment aligned with Te Tiriti o Waitangi.

Required profile

• PhD in Statistics, Statistics Education, or a closely related discipline.
• Demonstrated excellence in teaching and a strong research record or clear potential for research development.
• Commitment to inclusive and equitable education.

• Full‑time permanent contract (40 hrs/week) starting January 2027.
• Salary ranges: Lecturer $99,788‑$119,204; Senior Lecturer $126,863‑$158,904; Associate Professor from $165,808 (NZD, per year).
