3D Visualisation Designer (Interiors)

About the role

We are an award‑winning interior design studio delivering high‑end hospitality, residential and commercial projects across New Zealand and the Pacific. We seek a talented Visualisation Designer to translate concepts, drawings and material palettes into photorealistic imagery that clearly communicates design intent and creates an emotional impact.

Key responsibilities

• Create high‑quality photorealistic interior renders for concept, design development and presentation stages.
• Develop visual narratives that convey atmosphere, materiality and spatial experience.
• Produce still renders, animations, walkthroughs and other visual assets as required.
• Build and maintain accurate 3D models from drawings, CAD files, sketches and reference material.
• Apply materials, textures, lighting and styling to achieve studio‑quality outputs.
• Collaborate with designers and directors to ensure visuals align with the project vision.
• Support design option testing across finishes, lighting, furniture and layouts.
• Contribute to presentations, award submissions and marketing collateral.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in an interior design, architecture or visualisation studio.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating high‑quality visualisation work and a refined design eye.
• Ability to read and interpret plans, elevations, sections and design documentation.
• Comfortable managing multiple deadlines in a fast‑paced studio environment.

Required skills

• 3ds Max (with V‑Ray or Corona).
• Revit or Rhino.
• Enscape for visualisation.
• Photoshop.
• InDesign.
