Welder / Metal Fabricator – Christchurch

About the role

Davin Industries, a leading sheet‑metal fabricator in New Zealand, is seeking a skilled Welder / Metal Fabricator to join its Prometal site in Christchurch. You will work on a variety of projects, from prototypes to high‑volume production runs, ensuring every weld meets the company’s strict safety and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Operate MIG and TIG welding equipment safely on steel, stainless steel and aluminium.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints to produce accurate welds.
• Maintain a clean, organised work area and adhere to all safety protocols.
• Collaborate with team members and other departments to support ongoing projects.

Required profile

• Proven experience with MIG and TIG welding on the listed materials.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Reliable, punctual and able to work well in a team.
• Relevant trade qualification preferred but not essential.
