Warehouse Management Officer

About the role

The Ministry is seeking an experienced Warehouse Management Officer to join its Design & Production Team in Wellington. The role supports the delivery of high‑quality communications, engagement and learning resources across the education system.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with the delivery of the Ministry’s logistics solutions, including receipting, warehousing, order fulfilment and distribution.
• Coordinate systems, processes and supplier relationships that underpin logistics operations.
• Work with business units and project teams to meet procurement and delivery requirements.
• Collaborate with print production, design and publishing colleagues to ensure cost‑effective delivery of printed resources.

Required profile

• Solid background in the logistics industry, especially supplying to large, complex networks.
• Proven ability to coordinate complex logistics projects, from scoping and planning to stakeholder engagement and timely delivery.
• Strong organisational skills and experience meeting project deadlines.
• Willingness to adhere to the Public Service Standards of Integrity and Conduct.

Required skills

• Experience with best‑practice processes for receipting, warehousing, collating and distributing inventory.
• Understanding of graphic design and print production timelines.
• Knowledge of New Zealand publishing standards (desirable).
