VP, Embedded Finance

About the role

Re-Leased, a cloud-based property management platform, is looking for a VP, Embedded Finance to own its embedded finance portfolio globally, reporting directly to the President. The role sets global strategy, adapts it to each market and delivers it through a team of program managers and close partnership with the business. It can be based anywhere in Australia or New Zealand.

Key responsibilities

• Own the global pay strategy, with plans by region and segment covering card, ACH and direct debit rails
• Drive pay attachment across the customer base and lifecycle, including KYC completion, payment usage and volume
• Own pay revenue and margin, keeping rebate and revenue-share mechanics commercially sound
• Bring Tenant Deposit Insurance from concept to launch with underwriting partners, including distribution and revenue-share agreements
• Navigate regulatory considerations of insurance-adjacent products, including the distinction between recommending and presenting insurance
• Identify new embedded finance opportunities and take them from idea through research, partner selection, build and commercialisation
• Lead a team of program managers, set measurable targets, manage performance and decide on outsourcing versus hiring
• Represent the company with payment providers, loyalty and rewards partners and insurers/underwriters, and build the partner pipeline
• Present performance, metrics, margin and market insight to the President, CEO and board

Required profile

• 5-10 years driving business outcomes through influence rather than control
• Direct accountability for a P&L or revenue and margin number, ideally with board-level presentations
• Experience running a payments or embedded payments business line, preferably in a SaaS or marketplace setting
• Experience building a new product line from zero and across multiple markets (US, UK and ANZ preferred)
• Comfortable using AI-native workflows and thinking in terms of augmentation, automation and agents

Required skills

• Hands-on experience with attach, onboarding/KYC and usage mechanics
• Regulatory experience in payments or insurance-adjacent products
• Track record of structuring and managing partner deals
