Visual Design Coordinator (Fixed-Term)

About the role

Ballantynes is seeking a creative and passionate Visual Design Coordinator to join its Visual Design team. Working closely with the Design Manager, you will plan, create, execute, and maintain window and in‑store visual displays across all stores, ensuring a cohesive look and feel that aligns with the Ballantynes brand.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and implement high‑level display plans for windows and in‑store campaigns across all Ballantynes locations.
• Create and maintain promotional signage that adheres to Ballantynes brand standards.
• Assist in planning and executing internal and external promotions and events.
• Build productive relationships through clear and effective communication regarding display requirements.

Required profile

• A passion for design and visual merchandising.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in visual merchandising or a related creative role (desirable).
• Self‑motivated, organised and strong communicator.
• Ability to adapt, manage tasks effectively and stay up‑to‑date with retail trends.
• Full NZ driver’s licence and willingness to travel to Timaru and Invercargill, including occasional overnight trips.
• Eligibility to work in New Zealand.

Required skills

• Basic knowledge of Adobe Illustrator.
• Basic knowledge of Adobe Photoshop.
• Basic knowledge of Adobe InDesign.
