About the role

The Village Lifestyle Coordinator will create and deliver engaging, person‑centred activities that enhance wellbeing, connection and quality of life for residents at Shona McFarlane Retirement Village. This full‑time, Monday‑to‑Friday position offers the chance to make a real difference in the lives of older adults while working in a supportive, diverse environment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, organise and run a variety of activities, outings, celebrations and social events.
• Encourage resident participation and foster a strong sense of community.
• Build relationships with residents, families and local community groups.
• Manage event bookings, budgets, communications, attendance records and activity calendars.
• Complete administrative tasks, reporting and documentation to ensure smooth programme delivery.
• Support resident wellbeing, independence and quality of life through inclusive programmes.
• Collaborate with village teams to deliver memorable experiences.

Required profile

• Friendly, approachable and enjoys connecting with others.
• Organised and confident managing multiple activities and administrative duties.
• Comfortable using computer systems for reporting, communications and event planning.
• Positive, professional attitude with strong communication skills.
• Passionate about enhancing the lives of older people.
