Utilities Manager

About the role

ACCIONA is seeking a Utilities Manager to lead the coordination and delivery of utility works on the Northland Corridor Warkworth to Te Hana – Ara Tūhono project in New Zealand. Reporting to the Project Manager, the role will ensure utility relocations, diversions, installations and protection works are completed safely, on schedule and within budget.

Key responsibilities

• Manage utility tenders, bids and client workshops.
• Develop construction methods, technical submissions and digital engineering plans.
• Control project schedules, cost plans and cash‑flow for utility works.
• Oversee on‑site construction engineering activities and ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Coordinate with utility authorities, clients, consultants and contractors to minimise programme impacts.

Required profile

• Degree in Civil, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering or Construction Management.
• Proven experience delivering utility works on major infrastructure projects.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple utility providers and complex interfaces.
• Strong contract administration, commercial management and stakeholder negotiation capabilities.
