Urgent Care Practitioner – Weekend Shifts

About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic Urgent Care Practitioner to join our team for weekend shifts on a rotating basis. The role is part of a busy urgent care service that operates from 8 am to 8 pm daily, serving a diverse local population. You will work closely with nurses, doctors and allied health staff to ensure timely and effective patient care.

Key responsibilities

• Provide urgent care services during a scheduled 6‑hour Saturday shift every 2‑4 weeks.
• Assess, diagnose and treat a wide range of acute health issues for community members.
• Collaborate with experienced health professionals within the practice.
• Maintain accurate patient records and adhere to RNZCGP Cornerstone accreditation standards.

Required profile

• Current registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand.
• Legally eligible to work in New Zealand.
• Strong clinical and service skills with the ability to care for a diverse community.
• Excellent communication abilities.
