Transformation Consultant

About the role

The Transformation Consultant will join Woolworths NZ’s Transformation team to help shape, plan and deliver strategic initiatives that drive business performance and customer experience. You will work across a matrix environment, influencing senior stakeholders and turning high‑level strategy into concrete, data‑driven actions.

Key responsibilities

• Drive strategic impact by partnering with business teams to design and deliver initiatives aligned with core goals.
• Lead process redesign efforts, identifying inefficiencies and implementing solutions that reduce cost, complexity and duplication while enhancing the customer journey.
• Translate strategic objectives into actionable plans, develop clear implementation road‑maps and, when required, lead the delivery of projects.
• Develop cost‑benefit analyses and business cases to support data‑driven decision‑making.
• Contribute to the Transformation Community of Practice by creating knowledge artifacts, standardised methodologies and exploring AI and emerging technologies.
• Prepare executive‑level papers and presentations that summarise insights, recommendations and stakeholder inputs.

Required profile

• Proven track record delivering end‑to‑end business transformation initiatives.
• Experience managing large‑scale organisational change in the public sector, major commercial enterprises or leading consulting environments.
• Strong commercial judgement and the ability to influence senior leaders.
• Comfort working in a matrixed, cross‑functional setting.
