Training Consultant – SaaS Customer Enablement

About the role
We are looking for a motivated Training Consultant to join Smartly’s Activation team. In this role you will deliver engaging SaaS product training to new customers, helping them quickly realise value from our payroll platform.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver live training sessions (online via video calls or in‑person) on Smartly’s payroll and HR products.
- Prepare outcome‑driven training materials, track attendance and ensure customers achieve their first successful pay run.
- Support customers throughout the implementation journey, from sign‑up to go‑live, including set‑up activities.
- Build trusted relationships and act as the primary point of contact during onboarding.
- Collect and act on feedback to continuously improve training content and the broader activation process.
- Collaborate with Product, Support, Sales and Activation teams to ensure a seamless customer experience.
Required profile
- Strong customer focus with excellent communication skills.
- Ability to present complex information clearly and keep participants engaged.
- Proactive attitude and willingness to contribute to process improvement.
- Eligibility to work in New Zealand (NZ citizen or resident).
