Trader - Interest Rates

About the role

As a Rates Trader within ANZ’s Institutional Trading team, you will be responsible for pricing, risk management and profitability of the bank’s rates and fixed‑income portfolio. You will work across a broad range of products, partnering with sales, risk and institutional banking colleagues to execute trading strategies and support customer outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Price, manage and trade a portfolio of rates and fixed‑income products, including interest‑rate swaps, government and corporate bonds, credit products, futures and options.
• Develop and implement profitable trading strategies while staying within approved risk appetite and governance frameworks.
• Collaborate with institutional sales teams to deliver competitive pricing solutions and identify growth opportunities.
• Work closely with global trading teams, book runners and internal stakeholders to optimise portfolio performance and manage risk.
• Utilise quantitative and analytical models to enhance market analysis and trading efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory obligations, trading mandates and operational processes.

Required profile
