Trade Sales Assistant – Queenstown

About the role

We are looking for an energetic Trade Sales Assistant to join our Queenstown Trade Centre. You will be the first point of contact for customers, helping them find the right safety, engineering and industrial products while delivering exceptional service in a fast‑paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Greet customers entering the store and identify their needs.
• Present solutions across a wide range of PPE, hardware, tools, engineering supplies and apparel.
• Drive sales through upselling and cross‑selling while building customer loyalty.
• Liaise with support teams and suppliers to ensure accurate and timely fulfilment of orders.
• Maintain store presentation, visual merchandising standards and product selection.
• Manage stock levels, rotate inventory and assist with inbound and outbound goods handling.
• Support accurate inventory records within the Trade Centre.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a retail, sales or trade environment.
• Sales‑driven with a strong desire to exceed targets.
• Friendly, outgoing and able to build long‑term customer relationships quickly.
• Problem‑solver who can turn challenges into positive outcomes.
• Physically capable and comfortable working in a fast‑paced setting.
• Team player who contributes to a positive team culture.

What we offer

• Full‑time role – 42.5 hours per week (Monday‑Friday 8:00‑17:00, every second Saturday 9:00‑12:00).
