Trade Account Manager – Retail Hardware

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Trade Account Manager to join the Trade Sales team at Mitre 10 MEGA Warkworth. This full‑time, field‑based role focuses on building and expanding relationships with trade customers across Warkworth and the wider Rodney region.

Key responsibilities

• Prospect and acquire new trade customers throughout the region.
• Manage and develop an existing portfolio of trade accounts.
• Identify project opportunities and align product solutions to meet customer needs.
• Maintain strong knowledge of market activity, competitors and industry conditions.
• Collaborate with in‑store teams to ensure timely, reliable solutions for customers.
• Drive revenue growth by increasing share of spend within existing accounts.

Required profile

• Proven experience in trade sales or account management within a retail or construction environment.
• Commercially focused with a track record of winning new business.
• Confident relationship builder who can work independently in the market.
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams.
• Knowledge of the local building and renovation market is advantageous.
