Test Engineer

About the role

The Test Engineer will join the Productivity & Collaboration Services Team within the Digital division of the Ministry of Justice. Working closely with product managers, developers, and business stakeholders, you will ensure that digital solutions across Microsoft 365, Power Platform, Azure DevOps and GitHub meet quality, reliability and performance standards.

Key responsibilities

• Design test plans and strategies aligned with business and technical requirements.
• Create detailed test cases and scenarios to validate functionality and user experience.
• Execute manual and automated functional, regression, integration and performance tests.
• Identify, log, prioritize and manage defects, collaborating with developers to reproduce and verify fixes.
• Build and maintain automated test scripts to increase testing efficiency and coverage.
• Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and release readiness activities.
• Monitor system performance, reliability and usability, and produce test reports with quality metrics.
• Maintain test environments and test data, and integrate testing into CI/CD pipelines.

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification in IT, Computer Science, Engineering or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Relevant industry certifications and a commitment to continuous professional development.
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills and ability to work across technical and business teams.
