Test Engineer

About the role

The Ministry of Justice’s Digital team is looking for a Test Engineer to join the Productivity & Collaboration Services Team. Reporting to the Technical Product Manager – Productivity, you will help ensure the quality, reliability and performance of solutions built on Microsoft 365, Power Platform, Azure DevOps and GitHub.

Key responsibilities

• Design and maintain test plans, strategies and comprehensive test cases aligned with business and technical requirements.
• Execute manual and automated functional, regression, integration and performance tests.
• Identify, log and prioritize defects, work closely with developers to reproduce issues and verify fixes.
• Build and maintain automated test scripts to improve testing efficiency and coverage.
• Support User Acceptance Testing, release readiness and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Monitor system performance, reliability and usability, and prepare test reports with quality metrics for stakeholders.
• Maintain test environments and test data, and integrate testing into CI/CD pipelines.

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification in IT, Computer Science, Engineering or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong problem‑solving mindset with a focus on quality.
• Excellent collaboration skills to work with product managers, developers, business stakeholders and end users.
