Teletriage Registered Nurse (Auckland)

About the role

As a Teletriage Registered Nurse at Sonder, you will deliver telephone and messenger‑based screenings to assess members' medical and mental health concerns. Working under the guidance of the Medical Director and Clinical Leadership team, you will be a key part of the 24/7 support centre, providing timely care and referrals.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct telephone and chat‑based screenings to assess medical and mental health concerns.
• Determine urgency and prioritize care, making appropriate referrals to mental health, emergency or other health services.
• Coordinate appointments and follow‑up with multidisciplinary teams to ensure continuous care.
• Provide referrals to counselling and partner services based on member needs.
• Perform follow‑up calls to evaluate outcomes and arrange further support when required.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse qualification and current practising licence.
• Experience in medical or mental health triage, preferably in a telehealth or call‑centre environment.
• Ability to work a 24/7 rotating roster, including weekends and evenings.
• Strong communication and assessment skills, with a compassionate approach.
• Based in Auckland and able to attend on‑site shifts.
