Technology Services Intern

About the role

This is a paid 12‑week summer internship with Auckland Council, offering a living‑wage rate of $29.90 per hour. Interns join the Technology Services team, gaining hands‑on experience on real projects that support Auckland’s future services.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical support and troubleshoot IT issues.
• Assist with hardware and software maintenance.
• Monitor systems and maintain documentation.
• Complete work allocated by the team and contribute to project activities.

Required profile

• Enthusiastic learner with a keen interest in IT support or systems.
• Strong information literacy and problem‑solving abilities.
• Currently in the second‑to‑last year of a relevant bachelor’s degree or progressing to a master’s programme.
• Eligible to work full‑time in New Zealand for the internship period.
• Studying Information Technology, Information Systems, Software Engineering, Computer Science or a related field.
