Technical Trainer – Automotive (NZ)

About the role

We are seeking a Technical Trainer to deliver and develop high‑quality technical training for a leading commercial vehicle brand across New Zealand. You will act as a subject‑matter expert, working closely with instructional designers and dealer networks to keep training current with evolving vehicle technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver technical training sessions to dealers throughout New Zealand
• Support the design and creation of training programmes and assessments
• Provide expertise on vehicle products and systems
• Collaborate with instructional designers and training coordinators
• Continuously update training content to reflect new technologies
• Assist with scheduling and delivery of training programmes
• Gather field feedback to improve training outcomes
• Maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and dealer networks

Required profile

• Automotive trade background (mechanic, auto electrician or similar)
• Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (or willingness to obtain)
• Experience delivering technical training or strong interest in moving into training
• Excellent communication and facilitation abilities
• Ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels
• Organised, proactive and adaptable approach
• Passion for continuous learning and development
