Technical Project Manager – Data Migration (Auckland)

About the role

Infosys is seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager to lead large‑scale data migration and modernisation programmes for leading telecommunications customers in Auckland. The role combines programme management, deep technical data expertise, and telecom domain knowledge.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end data migration and modernisation programmes from legacy platforms to Snowflake or other cloud platforms.
• Manage scope, schedule, budget, resources, risks, dependencies, and overall programme governance.
• Oversee migration activities including data discovery, mapping, transformation, validation, reconciliation, and cut‑over.
• Collaborate closely with Data Architects, Engineers, business teams and technology partners.
• Provide regular programme updates and strategic recommendations to senior stakeholders and executives.
• Manage on‑shore and off‑shore delivery teams across multiple workstreams.
• Drive automation and AI‑enabled approaches to accelerate migration delivery.

Required profile

• 12–15 years of IT experience with a strong focus on data migration and modernisation.
• Proven experience delivering Teradata/Oracle to Snowflake or equivalent cloud migration programmes.
• Solid understanding of data warehousing, SQL, ETL/ELT processes, data quality and data governance.
• Extensive telecom domain experience.
• Excellent programme, stakeholder and communication management skills.
• Experience leading large, distributed teams on complex enterprise programmes.
