Technical Interface Lead

About the role

ACCIONA is seeking a Technical Interface Lead to coordinate technical interfaces across engineering, design, construction and commissioning for the Northland Corridor Warkworth‑to‑Te Hana – Ara Tūhono project. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the role will be based initially in Auckland and later at an office between Warkworth and Wellsford. The successful candidate will ensure seamless collaboration among design consultants, construction teams, utility providers, clients and regulators.

Key responsibilities

• Guide risk and schedule decisions across the design programme.
• Manage complex projects with tight critical‑path constraints.
• Oversee consultant agreements, performance and contract terms.
• Resolve stakeholder conflicts and track design approvals through robust systems.
• Champion constructability, value engineering and compliance with Design Controls and Engineering Management Systems.

Required profile

• Degree in Civil, Structural, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Proven experience managing multidisciplinary engineering teams on major infrastructure projects.
• Strong understanding of design, construction and risk management processes.
• Excellent communication, facilitation and negotiation abilities.
• Demonstrated experience in interface management.
